Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is a form of deep exfoliation of the face. It helps to remove dead skin cells and vellus (peach fuzz) hair.
This helps to treat fine lines and acne scarring and revives dull and dry skin, making it feel smoother and more youthful.

What happens during a Facial?
You are made very comfortable, lying down, covered with only your shoulders neck and face are left exposed.
Your skin is assessed, diagnosing your individual needs for your 1hr treatment, then continues with some or all of the following process…
cleansing, toning, exfoliation, gentle steam treatment, shoulder neck and face relaxation massage (which may also include sinus massage, pressure point massage and lymphatic drainage massage pending on individual needs), then with hot towel, oil residue cleansing is done, a mask is applied for a little more “treat & sleep” time. We then complete your service with a final cleanse and application of a sunbloc/moisturiser to suit your needs.
Who can have a Facial?
Pretty much anyone over the age of 15 who loves or hates their skin and wants to treat their skin soul to relaxation, regeneration, reviving or rebalancing.
What do I wear to a facial?
Comfortable shoes & clothes that can be removed, or allow easy access to neck n shoulder area.
Tips…
- No makeup if possible… let’s start with a blank canvas
- No necklace or earrings
- No contacts
- Bring a hair tie (if hair is long enough)
Can I apply make-up after a facial?
Yes of course, tho your skin would love having a breather from it for the rest of the day if possible.
DERMAPLANING - Frequenty Asked Questions
How often can I have Dermaplaning?
There are many variables to this question. We generally recommend a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks between treatment. This depends heavily on your skin type, what you’re current skincare routine is, whether you dermaplane in between Professional treatments and what time of the year it is.
Can anyone have Dermaplaning?
No.
There are many skin conditions and medications that aren’t suited to this treatment that include hypersensitive skin , sunburnt, peeling or heat stressed skin, active acne, any open wounds or infections that may or may not relate to any form of eczema, psoriasis or dermatitis.
Strong topical products like AHAs, Glycolic Acid or Retin-A should be ceased a minimum of 1week prior to treatment.
Accutane (acne drug) makes the skin very dry and thin, therefore there must be a 12 month waiting period before Dermaplaning.
Chemical peels and Laser treatments also require a minimum of 6 weeks wait period.
