For Jude McColough, beauty therapy has never been about offering the same treatment to everyone. It’s about listening, understanding what each client needs and creating an experience that feels comfortable, personal and genuinely worthwhile.

Jude began her career in 1987, completing internationally recognised qualifications in Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology at Adelaide’s Hyde Park College of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology.

After moving to Darwin in 1989, she continued working in the beauty industry before fulfilling her dream of opening her own salon. Back to Beauty was established in Darwin in 2002 and operated successfully for 13 years.

In 2015, Jude returned to South Australia and reopened Back to Beauty from her private salon in the peaceful surrounds of Gawler East.

Back to Beauty offers the professional standards and specialist treatments of a salon in a quieter, more private setting.

Every appointment is personally provided by Jude, allowing her to take the time to understand your preferences, answer your questions and tailor your treatment to you. There’s no rushed production line and no being passed between different therapists – just experienced, one-to-one care in a welcoming environment.

Whether you’re visiting for beautifully shaped brows, smooth skin, cosmetic tattooing or a little time devoted entirely to yourself, Jude’s goal is for you to leave feeling comfortable, confident and cared for.

While Jude brings nearly four decades of industry experience to every appointment, she continues to undertake specialist training and refine her techniques.

Her advanced education includes cosmetic tattooing, lash lift, brow lamination, dermaplaning, advanced brow mapping, hybrid brows and machine hairstroke techniques.

This combination of long-standing experience and ongoing education allows Jude to offer treatments that are considered, current and tailored to each client.
